On The Road (3 limericks)

Life depends on what the calendar says
Scheduled meetings and errands, more or less
If written it will happen
And otherwise, forgotten
Smartphones help but complicate the process
Rare time for travel is the time to breathe
And discover the truths that lie beneath
But when heat trumps the shower
And the stench has the power
You mask displeasure and in silence writhe
When playing for a crowd you know your place
Packed lunches backstage in a tiny space
Although on the occasion
That calls for celebration
The band stars in a bacchanalian craze
